Medication Management

Thoughtful Prescribing

Medication can be one part of mental health care, but it should never feel like the only part of the conversation.

At ReBridge Psych, medication management is thoughtful, collaborative, and therapy-informed, with attention to your symptoms, goals, medical context, and overall wellbeing.

The goal is not rushed refills. The goal is care that is safe, realistic, and meaningful.

That preserves the whole message but makes the top feel easier to breathe through.

How Medication Management Begins

New patients typically begin with a psychiatric evaluation before ongoing medication management is established.

This first appointment helps create a thoughtful foundation for care by exploring your symptoms, history, goals, medical context, current medications, and treatment needs.

If medication management is recommended, follow-up care is used to monitor progress, discuss benefits or side effects, adjust treatment when appropriate, and support meaningful change over time.

What Visits May Include

Medication management visits may include:

  • Reviewing symptoms, progress, and concerns

  • Discussing medication benefits, side effects, and options

  • Adjusting medication when clinically appropriate

  • Supporting coping strategies and emotional wellbeing

  • Considering sleep, stress, routines, medical history, and life context

  • Discussing labs or vital sign monitoring when clinically indicated

  • Coordinating care with other providers when appropriate and with your consent

Lab Monitoring & Medication Safety

Some psychiatric medications may require lab work, vital sign monitoring, medical history review, or coordination with other healthcare providers to support safe and appropriate treatment.

When lab monitoring is clinically indicated, this will be discussed as part of your treatment plan. Lab costs are separate from ReBridge Psych appointment fees and may depend on the laboratory used and your insurance coverage.

Controlled Substances and Safety

Some medications require additional evaluation, monitoring, documentation, or follow-up to support safe and appropriate care.

Controlled medications are not guaranteed and are prescribed only when clinically appropriate. When they are being considered, treatment decisions may include review of diagnosis, prior treatment history, risks and benefits, monitoring expectations, and Florida prescription drug monitoring requirements.
